Hi!
I was recently interviewed over at Dana's YA Bookpile (www.danasyabookpile.blogspot.ca) where I talk about my book, 'Newbie Nick,' the writing life and share odd, random facts about me! Hope you'll stop by and check it out! Find the interview here.

Where I Write (and who 'helps' me)
Hello!
If you're returning - welcome back and I hope you like the new look of my site! It's still a bit under construction - but it's getting there! And if you're new here - welcome! I'm so glad you stopped by!
I have been busy promoting my newest book, 'Newbie Nick' (Lycaon Press, June 2014), as well as finishing my newest book tentatively titled, 'That Night.' Now that all the revisions are done I'm busy approaching publishers and trying to catch-up on everything I let slide while I was completely immersed in my writing. 'That Night' is about 17-year-old Luke Hannon who questions loyalty - his peer's and teacher's - after his girlfriend attempts the unthinkable while drunk at a party.
When I'm not writing, I'm busy trying to maintain something related to order in my house of three men - two of them are teens. Also living with me are fish (goldfish, and such), two scorpions, three tarantulas, crickets (they don't last long) and a cat.
Pictures of my exotic house mates will come later, but for now, I'd like to introduce you to Sam The Cat.
Sam came to us 8 years ago from a pet store that adopts out rescue/shelter cats. She is constantly under-foot, mostly mine, and is ever-needing of love and affection - when it's convenient to her. While I'm writing she often hovers close by. I highly suspect that because my writing area is near the kitchen, and also near her food dishes, that she thinks she will be fed - again. She really is a good kitty, and does nothing wrong except act cute. A while ago she made a mad dash out the open front door and was lost for a few days. You can read about her adventures in our story, 'I Came Home For This?' in the book 'Chicken Soup for the Soul - The Cat Did What?' (Chicken Soup for the Soul, August 2014)
So for now, here are a few pictures of my cat and where I write.
Thanks for stopping by!
